    2007 sees the enforcement of the IPPC Directive EC 96/61 (Integrated Pollution Prevention and Control) which took effect from October. Under this program all companies involved in industrial activity which could impact the environment will have to apply for a new Permit where they have to demonstrate that “Best Available Techniques" (BAT) are being applied.

    In the Japanese market following the move away from asbestos, Flexitallic was set a challenge to provide a cost effective Flexpro gasket. The move away from asbestos sheet products in Japanese refineries has opened once closed doors to outside influence from western companies.

    A fertilizer manufacturer had been experiencing leaks in their sampling valve system for over 20 years. The factory gaskets were not holding up to the service.
